ADS OPERATOR — Data Deletion
Last updated: 1 September 2026
If you have connected a Meta (Facebook) account to ADS OPERATOR, you can ask us to delete the data associated with that connection. This page explains what we store, what deletion removes, and how to make the request.
ADS OPERATOR is a private advertising operations platform. It connects to Google Ads, Meta Ads and Pinterest Ads through OAuth and provides analytics, recommendations and guarded campaign-management features. Access to the platform itself is limited to authorised administrators.
1. What ADS OPERATOR may store
When a Meta Ads account is connected, ADS OPERATOR may store:
- Meta account connection information — that a connection exists, when it was created, and which Meta identity authorised it.
- Selected advertising account IDs — the Meta ad account chosen for analysis and reporting.
- OAuth authorisation data — the access token issued by Meta that is required to keep the connection working. Tokens are encrypted at rest and are never displayed in the interface, returned through the platform's API, or written to logs.
- Connection status and verification timestamps — whether the connection is healthy and when it was last successfully checked.
- Non-secret account metadata — the ad account name, currency and similar details needed to identify the selected account.
ADS OPERATOR does not store your Facebook password. Authentication happens entirely on Meta's own systems through OAuth. We never see, receive or retain your Facebook password.
Related records
For completeness, two other records may reference a connected ad account:
- Security audit entries — a minimal log of administrative actions (for example, connecting, selecting an account, or disconnecting), recording the time, the action, the administrator who performed it, and the ad account identifier involved. These are retained for security and accountability, and are not automatically removed when you disconnect.
- Analysis notes — non-secret performance observations and recommendations that may be stored against an ad account identifier. These contain no credentials.
Both can be deleted on request — see Method B below.
2. What deletion does
A data deletion request removes, for the Meta connection:
- the stored Meta connection record;
- the stored Meta OAuth authorisation and token data;
- the association with the selected Meta ad account;
- any further Meta API access — ADS OPERATOR cannot read from the account again unless you deliberately reconnect it.
Deleting data held by ADS OPERATOR does not delete data owned or held by Meta or Facebook. It also does not delete your Meta ad account, your campaigns, or any records Meta keeps independently. See section 5.
3. How to request deletion
Method A — Disconnect in the connection portal
If you are an authorised ADS OPERATOR administrator, you can remove the connection yourself, immediately:
Disconnecting deletes the stored connection record straight away, including the encrypted access and refresh tokens and the selected ad account association. To also remove the related records described above, use Method B.
Method B — Email request
Anyone whose Meta account or ad account has been connected to ADS OPERATOR — including people who cannot sign in to the portal — may request deletion by email:
Send an email with the subject:
ADS OPERATOR Data Deletion Request
Please include the Meta ad account ID or the name of the connected account, so we can locate the correct records. Do not send passwords, access tokens or other credentials.
4. Identity verification
Before deleting data, ADS OPERATOR may ask you to confirm that you control the connected Meta account or ad account. This protects account owners against unauthorised deletion requests made by third parties. If we cannot reasonably establish that you control the account, we may decline the request and will explain why.
5. Processing time
Deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days of receipt, or of successful identity verification where that is required. Disconnecting through the portal (Method A) removes the stored connection immediately.
6. Data held by Meta or Facebook
This page covers only data stored by ADS OPERATOR. It does not cover data that Meta holds about you, which is governed by Meta's own policies and controls. To review or remove data held directly by Meta, use Meta's own tools:
You can also review and remove ADS OPERATOR's access from your Facebook settings under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites. Removing the app there revokes Meta's authorisation; to also delete records stored by ADS OPERATOR, still send the request described in section 3.
